Nothing much, no.  We've done a lot to maximize performance based on
hotshot spelunking.  For the apps I'm working on Schevo is quite fast.
If I had my way I'd try to get one of the Durus folks to create a custom
version of Durus that was optimized for Schevo.  I figure there are
opportunities there because the way Schevo stores objects in Durus is
unique, regular, and completely different than the typical Durus
use-case (just to redundantly emphasize our uniqueness).

Scalability is a bit of an unknown.  This probably depends as much on
Durus as anything.  I suspect that for truly gargantuan data sets it
might be some time before we can beat Oracle or any of the other big
RDBMS packages.  I'm concentrating much more on rich functionality over
scalability myself, as I think that is where Schevo has a clear advantage.
