I'm glad Pat has started new development in the PyGTK-based navigator,
and I hope one long-term outcome of using Kiwi and Gazpacho is that they
become easy_install-able, so that "easy_install SchevoGtk" will only
require that you've pre-installed PyGTK itself and not Kiwi and Gazpacho :)

As far as development of SchevoGtk, the branch that Pat created is at
/SchevoGtk/branches/tabula_rasa in the repository; check out that branch
to follow its rewrite.

Regardless of whether its dependencies can be easy_install-ed, I will
certainly follow this closely myself as I am depending more and more
upon new features such as queries and views, and the existing SchevoQt
navigator does not support those.
