If you are not an active developer, then please stop committing code,
and instead submit patches to the list for review if you make changes.

If you are going to commit code to Schevo, however minimally, people
will assume you are an active developer.  If that is the case, then
please join the rest of the developer team and start using branches for
your further work.

I honestly don't see why this is becoming such an issue.  It's a copy,
edit, then merge operation.  If you've not branched and merged before
and thus have not experienced how painless the operation is, stop hiding
behind semantics of the word "developer" and do some quick reading on
it, or ask about the particulars of it here.
